Manix is the creator behind the comic series Kiko Machine known for its spunky, irreverent humor and wit. The comic first gained popularity in The Philippine Daily Inquirer and has now spawned five full-length book compilations with equally funny titles such as ‘Mga Tagpong Mukhang Ewan at Kung Anu-Ano Pang Kababalaghan” and “Mga Tagpong Tila NAgpapaka-weird, Kunyari Pa-deep, Sarap Sapakin”. Aside from his
visual art, Manix is also a musician — as a guitarist for the now defunct Kiko Machine and currently for Gorgoro. He is also an active member of the UP Dragonboat Team and has joined the team in competitions both here and abroad.
