Kat, known for her soulful voice, first broke into the music scene as the vocalist for the now-defunct Passage band. She also became the vocalist for rock legend Wally Gonzales but it was with her current band SinoSikat that she really made a mark in the music scene. With SinoSikat, Kat won the NU Rock Awards 2006 Vocalist of the Year, Awit Awards 2007 Best Jazz Recording and People’s Choice Best Group for the band’s first album. She is one of the founders of the Pinoy Soul Movement. The band’s second album is now out in the market.
